‘Pygmaea Helvola’ is a superb new deep-water aquatic, that is ideal for growing in water gardens and ponds. Blooming from June until October, you will witness an abundance of fragrant, star-shaped, lemon-coloured flowers, that top glossy green lily pads. Happy to develop in full sunlight, watch it thrive to a height of 40cm, along with a spread of 45cm. Grow waterlilies in still water away from splashing fountains. Gently lower containers into the water and position them on temporary supports such as bricks so that they sit just 20cm (8″) below the surface of the water. As the leaves grow to rest on the water surface, the container can be gradually lowered to its final depth below the water.
