This gorgeous hardy perennial is a striking Loosestrife that will create a bold impact wherever placed. Its vibrant green clump forming foliage, contrasts wonderfully against its profusion of silver-grey flower spikes, arriving June until August. Easy to care for and bold in appearance, work into cottage, water and woodland gardening schemes for maximum impact. Keep positioned in semi shade and watch it flourish to a height of 100cm, along with a spread of 30cm. Lysimachia ephemerum, commonly known as Loosestrife has pallid flower spikes massed with star-shaped white blooms, which contrast beautifully with green-silver foliage. Surprisingly, the attractive Loosestrife is rarely seen in the UK. It is an elegant perennial, which thrives in boggy areas close to ponds and streams or in bog gardens or moist borders. Loosestrife looks lovely as a cut flower and is also a haven for butterflies. It has also earned an RHS AGM for its all-round garden performance. Height: 100cm (39″). Spread: 30cm (12″). Grow Lysimachia in a fertile, moist soil that does not dry out in summer. Loosestrife will happily grow in clay soils, at the margins of a pond or in a bog garden.
