PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Bedford vehicles, was a brand of vehicle manufactured by Vauxhall Motors in the 1930s, which was later taken over by GM (General Motors). Built to be commercial vehicles, Bedford continued lorries, buses and ambulances however in 1935, they started creating trucks for the British War Office, and as such the O Type was created. Depicted here in metal form, this free standing weathervane features the highly detailed silhouette of the Bedford O type which was used for the military during World War II. Crafted from a combination of high quality steel and cast iron, this free standing weathervane has been finished in a sleek midnight black finish to complement any exterior setting. With a spiked central pole, this weathervane is the perfect alternative accessory to those which require drilling into walls.
Please note: All free standing weathervanes come complete with an integrated 15cm length four-pronged ground spike for stability. If your ground is a little soft, the base can easily be ground anchored or cemented into position where additional support is required.
