Description
The A333 pendant, designed by Alvar Aalto in the 1950s, remains an elegant and timeless classic that is suitable for various environments. Its distinctive shape has earned it the nickname “Turnip.” Made from steel, the pendant features a decorative brass-plated ring at its base. Thanks to the steel ring the light is diffused which is typical for the work of Alvar Aalto. The A333 pendant suits perfectly to decorate for example the kitchen, entryway or dining room.
The special version of the Turnip, launched in 2024, is coloured in two different shades that even further emphasise the sculptural structure of the luminaire. The two-tone appearance of the A33 pendant lamp is also a reminder of the past, as Artek’s luminaire collection has included textile shades in the same linen shade.
