This elegant Oxalis generates a flurry of white, star-shaped flowers from May until September. They smother its bushy form of fresh purple, triangular leaflets and work wonderfully in terrarium displays. Perfect for growing in a conservatory or greenhouse, be sure to place in dappled shade where it can progress to a height and spread of 20cm.
This deciduous, frost-tender plant can be grown in a cool room indoors or cool conservatory/greenhouse. If wished, it can be placed in a shady spot outdoors during the growing season, when all risk of frost has passed. Grow in a moisture-retentive but freely draining potting mix, watering moderately whilst in growth. Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser during the growing season. In winter, the plant dies back down to a tuberous rhizome – keep it barely moist during this period.
