Dahlia ‘Badger Twinkle’ boasts soft pink or peach petals with delicate white edges, creating a striking bi-coloured effect. The flowers have a pompom-like shape, making them an attractive addition to any garden or bouquet. These long-lasting flowers continue to bloom well into autumn, adding colour and charm when many other plants are fading. As with most dahlias, these blossoms help support healthy ecosystems, making the lovely flowers a hit with bees and butterflies. The tubers can be dug up after the first hard frost in autumn and replanted in spring to ensure larger and more vibrant displays year after year. Height: 1.2m (4′). Spread 90cm (3′). Plant Dahlia tubers outdoors in April after all risk of frost has passed. Choose a sunny position in moist well drained soil. Prepare the soil by digging in plenty of well rotted manure or compost. Plant tubers at a depth of 15cm (6″) and water well. Alternatively, start tubers into growth in pots of compost in a frost free greenhouse. Transplant them into their final positions outdoors in June.
