This fabulous little Delosperma boasts a trailing growing habit and furry, pickle shaped, green foliage. Easy to care for and happy in direct sunlight, be sure to position your tender perennial in a stylish pot where it can cascade from a sunny windowsill or console table. It will develop in height and spread to around 30cm and in the perfect conditions, will even produce small, lemon-coloured flowers. From South Africa comes this cute little succulent, Delosperma echinatum or the Pickle Plant, named after its fat, pickle-like leaves Grow full light with some shelter from the hottest sun. An average temperature of 10- 23C (50-75F) is ideal. This succulent only requires light watering; allow all of the soil to dry out between waterings. Fertilise every 2 months during the growing season with a cactus and succulent feed. In winter, while the plant is dormant, gradually reduce watering and allow the compost to remain dry.
