A dwarf variety that requires little attention and is ideal for growing in pots or smaller growing spaces. Weigela ‘Magic Carpet’ produces yellow-orange foliage which, throughout May and June, boasts small, pink, trumpet blooms. Plant this deciduous shrub amongst purple foliaged plants to create a showstopping display.Height: 60cm (24”). Spread: 46cm (18”). Weigela ‘Magic Carpet’ is a fantastic new variety of Weigela with unique apricot orange foliage. Grow Weigela in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Weigela at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil.
