‘Dwarf Cavendish’ is a gorgeous new Musa, that is much loved for its abundance of bright green, glossy leaflets. Paddle shaped and popular for their air purifying qualities, this fast-growing perennial will remain petite in size and happy in dappled shade. Great for growing in conservatories and greenhouses, watch it thrive to a height of 3m and spread to around 1.2m. Even in the depths of a gloomy British winter, the large and luxurious paddle-shaped leaves of this indoor banana plant will create warm tropical vibes.
Grow in bright light but avoid exposing the leaves to the strong midday sun as this can cause leaf damage. Keep between 10-27°C and avoid draughts. The thin leaves are susceptible to bruising and tearing but this is a natural process and new leaves will readily replace them. Feed and water generously during the growing season and mist frequently. Reduce watering during the dormant season from October to February.
